SMS / Text Messaging Terms
Program: WaiverWire Open Field Challenge Invites
WaiverWire (“we,” “us”) uses SMS text messages for exactly one purpose: letting a WaiverWire user send a friend a one-time invite link to a fantasy football Open Field challenge. We do not send marketing, promotional, or recurring SMS campaigns of any kind, and no money or wagering is involved — Open Field is a free, skill-based fantasy-points comparison for bragging rights.
How opt-in works
When a WaiverWire user creates a group Open Field challenge, they can optionally enter the phone number(s) of friends they want to invite. Before that invite can be sent, the sender must check a box confirming they have permission to text the person whose number they entered:
On the “Create a group challenge” screen
Text/SMS invites (optional)
You'll receive one text message per invite (not a recurring subscription) containing a link to join the challenge. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. See Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
Because the recipient is invited by a friend rather than submitting their own number directly to us, responsibility for that consent is placed on the sender at the point of entry (the checkbox above is never pre-checked — the user must actively select it), and every message we send identifies WaiverWire by name and includes opt-out instructions regardless.

Message frequency & cost
You will receive at most one message per challenge invite sent to your number — this is not a recurring subscription. Message and data rates may apply depending on your carrier and plan.
Opt out & help
- Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving text messages from WaiverWire. You'll receive one final confirmation message and no further texts unless you reply START.
- Reply HELP for help, or contact us anytime at support@waiverwire.com.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Privacy
Phone numbers collected for Open Field invites are used solely to deliver that invite and are never sold or shared with third parties. See our Privacy Policy for details.
